Abstract: People in different jobs may face skeletal problems in their body due to poor physical condition as a result of poor working conditions and inappropriate equipment used. These can lead to serious damage in many areas of the body and even early retirement. These cases, not only cause financial harm to workers but also can harm the business owners who lose effective forces and professionals. Dentists are people all of us need at some stage in our life. Therefore, in order to improve their health, this study analyzes their postures in different working conditions including standing or sitting postures during work with different devices. To this end, the dentists were studied by filming them during their activities and simulating their body using the CATIA software. Next, using analytical methods of OWAS (Ovako Working posture Analyzing System) and REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) inappropriate body postures for dentists were identified. The results of this study, which was carried out on subjects from dental clinics and offices in different parts of Shiraz, Iran, in OWAS analysis, 43{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} of subjects' posture was at level 1 and 57{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} was at level 2. According to OWAS analysis, no dentist was at critical levels of 3 and 4 in the analyzed postures. In REBA analysis, 24{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} of the analyzed body postures were at level 1, 67{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} were at level 2 and 9{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} were at level 3. Based on this analysis, no posture was at critical level 4. That no posture was at level 4 and only 9{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} was at level 3 can be indicative of dentists' safe working conditions, which is discussed in this article.
