Abstract: This paper explores the mechanism of servitization on resource-based view. Servitization is a kind of strategy that manufacturing firms increase value by adding service to products. It is shown that process of implementing servitization including resource mobilizing, resource coordinating, and resource deploying. And resource reciprocal spillover and competitive resource dilution can be used to explain how servitization influences firm performance. This paper aims to complement, deepen, and develop existing research of servitization on micro level, as well as enlighten further relevant researches.
