Abstract: This paper argues that the process of strategic analysis can benefit by being informed from biological perspectives. The author considers existing popular strategic analysis frameworks and concludes that they are useful but that there is benefit to be had by employing complementary methods in order to appreciate the subtleties of more complex situations. In particular, there is much to be gained by considering groups of people as species. The author presents a theoretical frameworks and guidelines to support the use of this approach. It is concluded that pseudo-biological frameworks provide a useful conjunct to existing frameworks
