Abstract:
This study aimed to analyze confirmatory factors of the quality of life of the elder living in the central region of Thailand. The 4 domains of The WHO quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) as physical health, psychological, social relationships, and environmental domains were adopted for constructing 5-scale questionnaires. 1,000 participants were selected from 10 provinces of the central region of Thailand, 100 from each province. Descriptive data were analyzed by SPSS, and second-order confirmatory was manipulated by LISREL 8.80.
The results showed that the factor loadings of the 4 domains of WHOQOL-BREF ranged between 0.87 and 0.94 (physical health = 0.94, psychological = 0.93, social relationship = 0.93, and environmental = 0.87). The model was found good-fitted with the empirical data (2 = 1403.89, p = 0.00 (df = 703), GFI = 0.93, CFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.90, SRMR = 0.044, and RMSEA = 0.035).
