Abstract:
This study investigated the effect of expressing gratitude on happiness. The study utilized a control group and 2 experimental groups. The participants were 30 Psychology students, 30 Criminology students and 30 Development Communication students. Based on the findings, gratitude has a significant effect on happiness. The computed p-values of the two experimental groups before and after expressing gratitude were 0.017 and 0.001 respectively. Since it is lower than 0.05 level of significance, the null hypothesis is rejected. No significant effect was found in the control group having a p-value of 0.829.
