Abstract: In an fMRI study using ultimatum games, responders decisions to reject offers were affected by facial trustworthiness of proposers, and predicted by increased activity in the right lateral orbitofrontal cortex (lOFC). The present findings emphasize a pivotal role of lOFC in integrating signals related to facial impression and creating signal biasing decisions during social interactions.
