Abstract:

Several environmental factors are considered influential in the work discipline. This study was conducted to analyze how psychosocial work environment may affect employee discipline. Data were collected from 121 civil servants in Yogyakarta, 105 employee in Klaten, and 50 employee in Rembang. The results showed there is correlation between psychosocial work environment and discipline the employee. The result showed that perceived organization culture has correlation to work dicipline with r=0.750, p=0.000 (p<0.01), transformational leadership has correlation to work dicipline with r=0.710, p=0.000 (p <0.01), and perceived incentives has correlation to work dicipline with r=0.605, p=0.000 (p<0.01). These results indicate that if there are positive perceived organizational culture, leadership, and perceived incentive, the work discipline of employees will be higher. Conversely, more negative perceived organizational culture, leadership, and perceived incentives, may lower the discipline of employees.
