Articulated figure is commonly modeled as a set of segments that are connected by joints. Animation of articulated figure is one of the most challenging problems in computer graphics, especially for
human figure animation. In this paper we describe several techniques that have been proposed by various researchers for animating articulated figure such as dynamics, kinematics and motion capture.
We will also explain the general issues for each of the technique.
