Abstract:
Geometric Modelling System is often used to model the shape of geometric object. It has been used extensively in industrial design and manufacture, and many applied fields such as medical image processing. This paper present a survey on diverse techniques used to model geometric object in 3D graphics and visualisation. Emphasis is placed on the most traditionally technique; wireframe, surface and solid modellers. We also give some future direction about our current project that is developing a new hybrid NURBS parameterization for improving the design of geometric model in 3D space.
