Abstract:

Various blends of pedagogical strategies and technological affordances have been proposed for the 21st century learners commonly known as the Net Gen, Gen Y, or Digital Natives. At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, we have approached Interactive and Digital Media (IDM) courseware development with a solid learning design that is infused with Learner-Centered-Learning features. This paper discusses the major elements of our journey focusing on the development of learning design leveraging on technology to enhance teaching and learning.The paper also describes various coursewares, interactive games, virtual experiments, and simulations developed using our approach.
