Animation is an increasingly advancing medium and an emerging field of study. Generating convincing characters or developing life-like animations being the two core concerns of the medium, an animation character has to have a specifically adjusted amount of life-like motions in order to be convincing. Initial research has undertaken in the understanding of believability and realism within animation. In order to develop a convincing character in short notice, hair dynamics has been used on a designed 3D cephalopod character. Test results have provided this paper with a rapid and convincing production process.
