Abstract:
Several existing designing procedures for chain sampling inspection plan 4( , ) 1 2 ChSP c c for desired values of AQL and LQL with associated risks are discussed. Though these procedures differ methodologically in arriving at solutions, the primary aim is the desired risks ( and ). Too many procedures ending at different solutions confuse the user in choosing a plan of his choice of parameters. In this paper a computer-aided solution is developed to select an optimum 4( , ) 1 2 ChSP c c for a required set of parameters say, (AQL, 1-) and (LQL, ) giving the minimum average total inspection. Examples are provided.
Keywords: Chain Sampling Plan, Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), Limiting Quality Level (LQL), Producer’s Risk and Consumer’s Risk and Average Total Inspection (ATI).
