Abstract: The paper reviews a system designed for monitoring and forecasting meteorological state in the atmospheric boundary layer and based on a multirotor flying platform. It also gives block diagrams of the system hardware (with the flight and terrestrial components) as well as software based on low-parametric dynamic stochastic models and Kalman filter algorithm. The software of the mobile system has been tested for forecasting the fields of meteorological variables in the very short range. The mobile system can be used to forecast various meteorological phenomena, verify remote sensing methods for measuring meteorological variables as well as to monitor the weather situation in hard-to-reach regions.
