Abstract: Choosing the Learning Management System (LMS) which best fits the requirements can be a difficult task. This can be attributed in part to the vast number of LMS’s available to choose from. It is also as a result of a lack of tools to make an informed decision. We present a methodology that can be used to determine whether an LMS is suitable for the effective deployment of a module and in particular programming module. The methodology further provides us with the ability to compare LMS’s by following a multi-attribute decision process that compares features in categories and within particular evaluands.
