Abstract: In this paper, we studied the relationship between isoperimetric problem and thermodynamics. Firstly, we reviewed the history of isoperimetric problem and reviewed the shortest and clearest method (variations) to solve it. Secondly, we introduced thermodynamic concept to a two-dimensional closed figure with smooth boundary and define temperature of a local tiny subsystem as curvature of a point along the curve. in this way, the curve can describe a general thermodynamic system, which satisfies dS = dU/T + Xdx/T, then we discussed the inner connection between the maximum entropy when a isolated system was thermodynamic balanced and the maximum area of isoperimetric problem.
