Abstract:
This paper presents a collaborative teaching and learning program that links academic visions in education with research of leading edge Information Technology (IT) in real-world business environments. It discusses the impact of research and industry collaborations on teaching and vice versa, and highlights several achievements including an IEEE Services Computing Contest Award and a TIBCO Academic Award received in 2007 and 2009 respectively by the project at Victoria University. Details of the approach, the impacted areas of teaching and research, and related industry resources to meet the teaching and research needs are also provided.
