Abstract: The main objective of this study was to develop an information system to support the Educational Quality Assurance Division at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, Thailand according to the comments from the first external assessment. There were six steps in conducting this development by using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as a reference: (1) Problem analysis, (2) System analysis, (3) System Design, (4) Developing, (5) Testing and implementation, and (6) Evaluation and maintenance. An Information System was developed namely “Faculty Information System: FIS)”. FIS used Active Server Page (ASP) as computer coding and used SQL Server 2008 in storing data. 15 manuals for administrative staff and users were developed. It have been used for 7 years until now. FIS was not only the use of IT and IS to assist job in organization but also a helping tool to re-process and re-culture in an organization as FIS model. It has supported stakeholders in every level in organization. Until now, the FIS was applied and implemented in 28 institutions of higher education in Thailand, such as Mahidol University, Srinakharinwirot University, National Institute of Development Administration, Mae Fah Luang University, Hatyai University and etc. Maejo University obtained the “2009: The Year of Thai Higher Education Quality Enhancement” award held by the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment since Maejo University has a appropriate system for Educational Quality Assurance.
