Abstract: With the emergence of digital technologies, tertiary institutions are progressively delved into probable uses of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to alleviate their teaching needs. In particular, with the advent of Internet and web technologies, schools and universities around the world have been pursuing to exploit the advantage of electronic learning (e-learning) technologies to sustain the demand of flexible teaching needs in distance learning.
This paper studies e-learning process and its possibilities of integration in class. Learning management processes, its information requirements and its supporting software platform are presented exposing the needs in learning areas on course supervision, measuring student’s performance, security and management. Functional features and tools that could improve the interaction among users in e-learning environments are being considered. As a possible solution to increase the interactions among users and provide online resources through e-learning system integration is being proposed.
