Abstract: The coming computing service transformation into the cloud is a major change in industry. Cloud services do offer ondemand computing as a utility that is warranted to reduce costs and improve service quality levels. However, there are concerns related to privacy, security, control and governance of the cloud. With the main goal of addressing these risks, this paper provides deep insights and practical guidelines for cloud architects, service providers and consumers for a smooth migration into the cloud.
