Abstract: Workflow has been widely used in office automation and E-commerce. While the gap between business domain and workflow specification has increased the difficulty of adopting business workflow. Workflow modeling tool was developed and used in order to reduce the workflow model developing complexity. Multi-sectoral, cross-boundary collaboration has become an unessential node in modern enterprise. But traditional workflow modeling tools only support single user. How to enable multiple departments participating in, professional modeling and business people work together as an important work in workflow management system. In this paper, we introduced an open-source tool for workflow modeling, called Orchestra Designer. It solves above problems by isolating domain tasks from workflow specification and provides a service-oriented collaboration bus. Meanwhile, Orchestra Designer supports the design of cross business workflow and creates BPEL document by it.
