Abstract: The present study aimed to examine burnout level of school counselors in terms of sex, age, marital status, and experience as a counselor. In order to determine burnout level of the subjects, The Maslach Burnout Inventory was used. The subjects of the study were 65 female and 15 male school counselors in Ankara. Results showed that age and experience were negatively correlated with depersonalization subscales. However, there is no difference between male and female counselors’ burnout levels. No significant differences were found between groups in terms of marital status.
