Abstract: The development of a learning community is essential in online-based educational experiences. The purpose of this qualitative case study is to describe the experiences of a group of teachers of Spanish who participated in an online professional development program and how they developed a learning community through exploratory, dialogic, and supportive learning tasks. Data were collected via documents, interviews, and a focus group. These data led to the following themes: A learning community, collaborative learning, clear instructions, peer-review, and dialogue via forums.
