Abstract:
This research aimed to investigate the formative learning outcomes of second year students studying English Reading through revision exercises on self-access learning online facilities. There were forty seven students enrolled in the English Reading course. The subjects were required to do online revision exercises consisting of eight exercises before a formative test. The content of the online revision exercises was related to the classroom text book. This research was designed to investigate 1) the correlation between the online revision exercise scores and the formative test scores 2) the significant difference of English formative scores between the experimental group and the control group. This experiment may provide insights into how to apply technology to enhance language classroom and to promote self-directed learning for learners
