Abstract: The research area is located in the Sumberboto Village and Gununggede Village, Wonotirto District, Blitar Regency, East Java Province. Blitar Regency located around the East Java Southern Mountain is one of the areas that have the prospect of economic mineral deposits. Based on the analysis of observational data on the geologic elements of the field with the help of topographic maps and satellite imagery, the author want to get an overview of the geology and hydrotermal and its relationships with the presence of economic mineral deposits. Hydrothermal alteration zone present in the research area are (1) quartz-alunite-pyrophyllite-diaspore zone, (2) quartz-kaolinite-illite-dickite-montmorilonite zone, (3) quartz-feldspar-actinolite-epidot-chlorite-calcite zone, (4) quartz-sericite-pyrite zone and (5) silisification zone. Hydrotermal mineral assemblages temperatures range from 140-320oC which is within range of epithermal system. Vuggy silica texture, disseminated mineralization pattern and the presence of alunite, pyrophyllite, dickite and diaspore minerals showed that the research area is part of high sulphidation epitermal system.The formation of feldspar, actinolite, epidot, chlorite, calcite and the apperance of comb texture in quartz veins indicates a change of the system to low sulphidation epitermal system.
