Abstract: Based on the analysis of different mineralization characteristics of ore bodies in the Zhaokalong Fe-Cu deposit, we have established the “sedimentary fan” model to this sedimentary-exhalative deposit. Single ore-forming system of the Zhaokalong deposit can be formed as a fan-shape ore body; so based on the connection rules of the ore bodies, we divided the ore-forming system into two parts which are corresponding to the two sedimentary fans, respectively. We believe that Zhaokalong deposit belongs to double-spout sedimentary-exhalative system, and all of this is also corroborated by the mineralization zonation. We used this model for metallogenic prognosis, to obtain a good exploration results.
