Abstract: this study aims to develop a rule, which maps diagnosis system from North American Nursing Diagnosis Association - International (NANDA-I) version 2012-2014 to International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP) version 2011 released, and use the sample of 18 diagnoses that achieve the Level of Evidence (L.O.E.) 2.1 requirement in NANDA-I Domain 2 and 3. These diagnoses were mapped with a predetermined rule to ICNP diagnosis indispensable Axis - “Focus” and ”Judgment” in place of using manual searching in a great amount of terminology in ICNP. In the results of the mapping, there are 7 diagnoses mapped completely, 5 diagnoses partially mapped and 6 diagnoses with no match. During the mapping process, it is expected to promote the communication and link the advantages between NANDA-I and ICNP.
