Abstract: we aimed to create a Love ＆ Care Board for communicating care such that patients have warm experiences when seeking medical advice. Using a crosssectional study method, patients, primary caregivers, and registered nurses in a regional teaching hospital in central Taiwan were chosen as the main subjects. We found that the relationship between the caring behavior of registered nurses and the patient satisfaction with the board titled Love ＆ Care Board were good, and the relationship between the patient satisfaction with the Love ＆Care Board and patient satisfaction with their hospital stay were significantly and positively correlated. The results suggested that setting up a caring environment in ward can increase the frequency of caring behaviors of registered nurses and family members toward patients and promote good communication. We recommended that physicians also use the Love ＆ Care Board to explain the disease conditions and subsequent treatment plans to patients and their family members, which allows consistent messages being conveyed by doctors, nurses, and caregivers and the medical team to work together to improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction.
