Abstract: The education of public health professionals is integral to the future of global health. The main goal of the Global Health Institute (GHI) at The Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH) is to provide innovative and transformative public health education, scholarship, research, advocacy, and leadership training for health care professionals worldwide. The University of Arizona (UA) implemented an innovative approach to internationalization by establishing a worldwide network of micro-campuses to deliver collaborative dual degree programs overseas to local students. These programs rely on the full collaboration between the UA and its worldwide partner universities. MEZCOPH has established a comprehensive partnership with the Gulf Medical University (GMU), a leading medical university in the Gulf region to deliver dual graduate degrees in public health. The process involved full integration and articulation of the curricula and the alignment of the admission criteria to fulfill the requirements for each institution. Described in this article is discussion on our micro-campus experience and ongoing partnership with the GMU.
