Abstract:

Purpose: From human resource accounting to people management related investment decisions, the HR department of every organization has traveled a long way striving for sustained competitive advantage through enhanced employee performance. This research paper therefore, addresses the role that innovative human capital management practices play in enhancing a firm’s performance through the maximization of employees’ positive behavioral outcomes.

Methodology: This study is done on the employees working in software development firms functioning in NCR (National Capital Region(India). This study uses regression analysis tools to understand the relationship between HCM (Human Capital Management) practices and Employees’ performance.

Findings: The results in this study indicate a positive relation between HCM Practices and employees’ behavioral outcomes in terms of Job satisfaction and commitment. Further, this study has taken the support from a strong research base to prove that employees’ positive behavior leads to firm’s enhanced performance. This paper has a future scope of empirically analyzing the relationship between employee performance and firm performance.
