Abstract: Research on the Millennial generation (or Gen Y) in the workplace has found that the work values, expectations, and behavior of the Gen Y are different from people in older generations. This paper attempts to identify the learning needs of Gen Y undergraduates by reviewing the literature on Gen Y in the workplace and in higher education. New initiatives taken by a university in Hong Kong to nurture and develop Gen Y undergraduates majoring in HRM are described.
