Abstract: This study examines that whether transformational leadership is enhanced, leading individual-organizational values congruence to perform better in team performance. The hypotheses under congruence mechanism test on a sample of 64 teams (198 dyad data of employees and their team leader) from public cleaning service organization. In this study, constructs with different sources (e.g., member rated their team leader's transformational leadership behavior, and value congruence of person-organization and person-supervisor; while leaders rated members’ work performance) in order to reduce the possibility of same source bias were measured. To enhance the clarity of the causal relationship among variables of the present study, questionnaires were distributed at two time points. The team-level effect of transformational leadership on team was mediated by both value congruence of person-organization.
