Abstract:

The individual-in-community approach can link observed changes in the individual’s consumption and preferences to social capital formation or destruction. This is crucial in assessing the local business; it is a social capital accretive. The commercial actions of the dynamically fragmented business on the global competitive edge in the broad virtual networks under the constant strong pressure of fast changing market conditions determine modern business. The main networking indicator - trust - can substantially modify the interdependent utilities balance in the virtual network at issue, so the interdependent utilities approach can quite simply define the efficiency of the production of huge virtual networks – cloud computing. What exactly are the role of networking indicators and the possibility to predict the efficiency of social networks of Lithuanian communities, virtual market distortions and commercial relationship of most advanced business – cloud computing? The paper “Do the Networks matter?” is addressed to these questions.

The individual-in-community approach and interdependent utilities model are appropriate to analyse a socio-economic development of community. This should be done by ensuring that these community benefits are not simply excluded and ignored as in the case of externalities argument. To the degree that these local benefits are maximized, social capital will accumulate. In turn, as social capital rises, national development will be fostered and strengthened too. It was also proved in present research that modelling of the interdependent utilities balances in the virtual business networks can present correct recommendations. The efforts to raise the potential of connecting-links of virtual networks are due. The more detailed parameterisation of the model is at issue now.
