Abstract:
Information is an enterprise’s most valuable asset. Many enterprises are now transforming their information technology to a service-oriented architecture that enables flexible and interconnected business processes. Although service-oriented architecture has been extensively studied, comparatively little is known of the information quality aspect of service-oriented environments. This paper provides insights into information quality from multiple cases of implementation of service-oriented architecture initiatives. In addition, issues in service-oriented architecture concerned with information quality are investigated. The accent of this paper is to indicate that with the aid of information quality within the service-oriented architecture will lead to effective enterprise services environment.
