Indonesian Public Service Broadcasting: From Government-Analogue to Public-Digital Era

Abstract:

This paper will explore current situation of RRI and TVRI as Indonesian nationwide public service broadcasting stations, summarize its history, regulations and obstacles in the mid of media commercialization and digitalization. This paper will also address policy recommendation for both media, in its transition from analogue to digital era and responding to industry adoption of digital technology that changes broadcasting landscape.
