Abstract:

Through a survey of journalists in South China’s Pearl River Delta, the research tentatively charted the status quo of journalistic professionalism in the region. Results showed that more respondents identified with the Party’s journalism values than with the liberal journalism values. In addition, journalists who identified with the Party’s journalism values had more job satisfaction and were more likely to endorse their organizations’ performances.
