Abstract: As an important method for business to promote and build image, company profile is also a vital approach to introduce itself to the market and establish trust. And with the continuous advancement of globalization and booming development of Chinese economy, company profile is especially important for it is the company’s business card in the global market and the precondition for the company to develop international market. However, the English profile of Chinese cosmetics company is of varying quality. The thesis states the function and purpose of company profiles briefly. Besides, the thesis compares 30 company profiles of Chinese and foreign cosmetics companies and then does an analysis, from the perspective of discourse. By providing a new perspective of English company profiles, the author hopes Chinese companies can present better English profiles to achieve the aims of promotionexactly.
