Abstract: With the development of foreign language learning in China today, English gradually becomes one of the most important subjects in middle school. Some language researchers have paid great attention to the English class in Middle school, and they have found out a lot of problems existing in English class. Students’ questioning anxiety is one of the most popular items. Some researches show that both students themselves and teachers play a great role in students ’ questioning anxiety. This study aims to investigate English-class questioning anxiety in middle school, trying to find the main causes of anxiety in the aimed class and put forward several strategies to relieve students’ questioning anxiety. It will help English teachers to improve the teaching quality and help students make progress in English class and get a good academic performance.
