Abstract: In recent years, with the integral process of world economy and the rapid development of video production technology, more and more foreign movies and TV shows have already entered into the Chinese market. This trend makes subtitle translation become increasingly important as a new field of translation practice. Therefore, carrying out the appropriate translation of film subtitles is of great significance in Chinese audiences. This paper uses the film KungFu Panda III as the main study material, based on the theoretical foundation of Functional equivalence, to conduct a study on subtitle translation by using some strategies.
