Abstract: The characteristics of interpreting on foreign affairs meetings at universities make it different from general professional translation. The contextual adaptation strategy based on the theory of adaptation has practical implications. It is of significance to improve the interpreting quality scientifically by studying the contextual adaptation strategy.
