Abstract: This paper is going to examine Dennis Kelly’s inyer- face play Osama the Hero (2005) with respect to the dynamics of evil actions. It will mainly explore the way the consequentialist approach triggered by media paves way to brutal actions in characters’ lives. In Osama the Hero, the way media manipulate language and influence the characters’ perception considerably triggers the violence on stage. At this point, Kelly’s play draws attention to the provocative power of language within in-yer-face theatre, which is commonly studied for the physical abuse that it represents.
