Abstract: Today’s world is all about advancement in technology and the emergence of social and virtual communities, that are increasingly becoming popular. Therefore, it is important to understand how one socializes in these communities with the help of language, and how it affects the daily speech and activities in one’s life. This paper is based on language socialization, especially in virtual communities, such as chat rooms, blogs, and social media, which has not been an extensively investigated area in the United Arab Emirates, by researchers. With the help of a survey of 121 respondents, quantitative responses were recorded and qualitative data were collected from the interviews of respondents. The hypotheses of the research were evaluated with the help of a two-tailed Correlation Analysis.
