Abstract: As the number of children who are exposed to multiple languages continues to rise, so do the documented cases of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children. This unique intersection is yet to be systematically studied, and parents are turning to practitioners with questions regarding language development practices for their children who fall into both of these categories. The purpose of this presentation is to present a brief overview of the current research on linguistically diverse children with autism spectrum disorder and to provide recommendations for parents and practitioners, based on this research, to best support the linguistic development of their children.
