Abstract: Enemies, A Love Story, as one of the most representative of I. B. Singer’s Holocaust fiction, tells a story of the Jewish Holocaust refugees from Europe to America. From the perspective of narrative space as well as trauma theory, based on interpretation of different types of space in this novel, this essay intends to explore complicity and multiplicity of the Holocaust trauma represented by Singer, which exposes the influence of the Holocaust upon Jewish survivors’ life and their pursuit of identity.
