Abstract: In recent years, the exchanges between countries have been increasing and the number of translations has been increasing. However, most of the translations flooding the translation market are substandard and low-quality translations. A large part of the reason for this phenomenon is that the theoretical research and practice of translation criticism have not kept pace with each other. At present, translation criticism is confronted with such problems as few types of texts studied, no relevant translation criticism teams, insufficient universality of translation criticism, and little interaction between theory and practice. This paper mainly studies the development of translation criticism and how to develop in the future in the face of present problems. This research aims to help the translation industry attach importance to translation criticism, improve the translation market atmosphere and raise quality and standard of thetranslationmarket.
