Abstract: This paper reviews and synthesizes studies of working memory in simultaneous interpreting from aspects of theoretical concepts, measurements, and empirical findings, incorporating practical simultaneous interpreting experiences and observations for illustrations, and, based on the review, proposes some areas for future research.
