Abstract: Information and communication technologies (ICT) are the major driving forces in the process of globalization. These technologies not only facilitate but even accelerate the interactions and integration amongst people, ideas, societies, markets, governments etc. across nations regardless of the notion of border. While the international community is still in the process of developing an appropriate response with regard to the governance of the internet, the legal responses formulated by various domestic legal systems to prevent and control the cyber-crimes also face a number of crucial challenges. This article addresses one such challenge: the application of the concept of jurisdiction to cyber-crimes. It is generally considered to be one of the perennial and most frustrating issues in the cyber-criminal law.
