Abstract: This part analyses how the GCC helps the political systems of its member countries to survive the internal challenge from some GCC' citizens’ demands for democracy. More focus is given to this third part than the two previous parts because it deals with current events while the two previous parts do not. It analyses some key events, which happened in 2011, and the GCC’s response to them. It analyses the Arab Spring and how the GCC used its membership as a response. It analyses how the GCC has been prepared to stand up to any internal challenge to the political system of its member countries, e.g. the GCC's military intervention in Bahrain.
