Abstract:

Countries with the low quality of legislation, and also countries in which public officials are not independent in their decision making, are more prone to face higher levels of corruption. Consequently, they are more prone to face negative implications of an economic crisis. Thus, the low quality of legislation and non-independent public official can be dangerous for the rule of law and fundamental rights and contribute to inefficiency of a legal system as such.
