In Recycle plants, screening decrease in efficiency, increase in
running costs due to wear of the crushing blade has become a
serious problem. Therefore, the development of material
excellent in abrasion resistance is required. In this study, using a
spheroidal carbide cast iron material that is excellent in wear
resistance are known, abrasive wear characteristics were
evaluated using a Suga type wear testing machine.They are SCIVCrNi,
SCI-VMn, and SCI-W with hard (2400HV) spheroidal
vanadium carbides (VC).As a result, It was found that high
chromium cast iron Cr 17{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} compared to SCI-W has an abrasive
wear resistance characteristics of five times. Even compared to
high chromium cast iron is a high initial hardness, spheroidal
carbide cast iron showed excellent wear resistance. Abrasive
wear is not only dependent on the initial hardness of the material.
Abrasive wear is considered, rather than the initial hardness, it is
important to increased in hardness due to work hardening.
