Abstract:

The composite materials are widely used in the manufacturing and in the construction industry. In this project, composite material is developed on the basis of recycled paper and an appropriate gluing agent. To evaluate the mechanical properties of the materials test strips are produced at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) civil engineering laboratory for further mechanical testing. The mechanical properties of the test strips vary by varying important parameters like; the processing time in the mould, the moulding temperature and gluing agent ratio, etc. Using the experimental data, the bending properties of the composite material can be determining the behaviour of the test strips by finite element analyses (FEA).
